The Landmark Theatre will host a screening of the 1939 classic film on August 25th, eighty years after the movie’s nationwide release. Doors open at 1 p.m. with a costume contest, historic materials provided by the Onondaga Historical Association, and a showing of the film on the big screen at 2 p.m.

The Landmark played host to the Syracuse premiere of the film in 1939, when it was known as the Loew's State Theater. The event then also included a celebration, featuring a costume contest and a party in Thornden Park.
