Combining the razzle-dazzle of Broadway with the magic of the circus, BARNUM tracks the rise of Phineas Taylor Barnum as he and his wife, Charity, create “the greatest show on earth.” Joyful, hilarious, and heartfelt, BARNUM is a Tony Award-winning musical with something for audiences of all ages, from Tiny Tim to Jumbo the Elephant, and all the clowns, acrobats, and performers in between.

Director Brett Smock says, “To undertake ‘Barnum’ is no small feat — and we’re excited to create a new production for our audiences this summer. In addition to a thrilling cast and creative team, The REV will partner with Ithaca-based Circus Culture to advise and create special circus features specifically for this production. ‘Barnum’ is the perfect blend of great songs, light hearted storytelling, stylized staging, and thrilling circus influences to create a unique theatrical experience.”
