Book Signing & Artist Talk - The Gathering Table: London Ladd
Author Antwan Eady invites readers into a Southern family’s world of year-round celebrations. Each lovingly centers a special gathering table—everyday and extraordinary—that brings loved ones together. From birthdays and anniversaries to Juneteenth, weddings, and the arrival of a new baby, the book is a stirring tribute to Black joy, soul-satisfying meals, community, and the culinary customs that bind us.
London Ladd’s richly textured illustrations breathe life into every joyful moment shared around the table. Rooted in the Gullah Geechee cultural legacy, the visuals beautifully reflect the warmth, love, and generational strength woven into each scene.
