Cortland Arts Connect invites the community to enjoy a new exhibit by local artist Ralph Turturro in the first floor Art Gallery of the McNeil Building, 19 MainStreet, Cortland, November through December.

The show titled “'Between Machines” in the first floor Art Gallery of the McNeil Building, 19 Main Street, Cortland, November through December. The exhibit showcases 2022 works on canvas and paper.

Turturro received a B.S.A. from the University of Wisconsin before studying at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and receiving a M.F.A. degree. He has been painting for 40 years and shares that his Uncle Domenic was a painter and a big influence on him. His Artist statement for the exhibit is “My work is story telling from inside my own head. I respond to stuff in my life and then transfer it to the paintings. I respond to the immediacy of the work at hand. Mark Making! The titles come from the news and readings and conversations.”
