Spaghetti Junction
The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Warehouse Gallery at SU presents the Spaghetti Junction Summer Exhibition, showcasing the work of over 20 artists from our student community at Syracuse University. Combining myriad mediums, this exhibition includes work from both undergraduate and graduate students in wide-ranging academic fields and artistic disciplines.
Artists open up lanes for access where access is not inherently given and expose on-ramps to creative endeavors that encourage exploration and connection. Like the twisting roads of a complex junction, these pathways can branch, intersect, and lead to new ideas but not necessarily lead to a singular destination. The creative process is fluid and the compulsion to create is a deeply human drive to make sense of the world. Artists have an inherent ability to connect seemingly paradoxical ideas and to create intersections where new possibilities emerge. This exhibition highlights the power of the journey itself–an ongoing exploration, driven by the need to create, where the process and connections matter more than the final destination.
