View, the Center for Arts and Culture in Old Forge, New York, opens its summer exhibit Unprecedented: Art Responds to 2020 on June 12, and will run through August 1. The opening weekend will feature half off admission on Saturday, June 12 from 10 AM- 4 PM and Sunday, June 13 from 12 PM – 4PM.

There will be a private reception on Friday for View Members & Exhibiting Artists. The Stanley Theatre in Utica will also be streaming their show, Live from the Grand Lobby, an Evening of Opera and Jazz, to View’s Gould Hall as part of the Members’ Reception on Friday at 7 PM.

“Unprecedented: Art Responds to 2020” brings together a collection of artworks created during and stimulated by the global pandemic crisis, and societal discord in many forms that provoked major unrest and upheaval.

Also on display is an exhibition featuring the three jurors of “Unprecedented: Art Responds to 2020.” “Three Artists: Three Responses to 2020” features Catherine Tedford, David MacDonald and Stephen Horne.

“A Select Rustic Show” will also be on display in View’s Eco Gallery. This year’s artists include; Gary Casagrain, Michael Ringer, Paul Lakata, Mark Wood, Russ Gleaves, Barry Gregson, Wayne Ignatuk, Jonathan Swartwout, and Michael Trivieri. There will also be an online reception for “Unprecedented Art Responds to 2020” on June 16 at 5 PM at ViewArts.org.
