Basics of American Sign Language 1: The Culture, Community, and Language of Deaf Americans
For patrons ages 18+ only
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Learn the fundamentals of American Sign Language (ASL)--including the alphabet, basic greetings, and other essential topics--and discover the rich history and culture of the American Deaf community in a supportive environment.
This will be led by local Deaf educator, Amy Robinson.
HOW TO APPLY
In order to create equitable opportunities for all, admittance into American Sign Language 1 will be determined based on pre-registration answers. Class size is limited.
Everyone interested is strongly encouraged to apply!

WHEN DO THE CLASSES MEET
Every Tuesday from 6:00 - 7:00 PM starting April 9 through May 7 (5 classes in total) in the Friends Community Room.
